Women in advertising – a fringe event during Advertising Week Europe 2017
Women represent over 80% of all consumer purchasing decisions. From buying a house or a holiday to buying healthcare or pharmaceuticals, women control the majority of purchases. Half the products marketed to men are ultimately purchased by women.
If women pay play such a decisive role in these decisions, why do not they not make up the majority of the workforce in advertising? And if they did, would that mean the end for sexist advertising?
We are joined by Art Director Madelien Scholten and Copywriter Helena Heras Delgado of ad agency Publicis London. With their impressive experience of working at major advertising agencies and with a client list with some of the world’s biggest brands we will explore some of the challenges women face in advertising.
Madelien Scholten and Helena Heras Delgado have been a creative duo since 2014. Previously working for WE ARE PI, Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, BBH, Mother and Creature they now work for Publicis London.
The bar opens at 18:00, the talk starts at 19:00 and entrance is free but please RSVP via Eventbrite!
